Light Bulb Art with digital collage

During this Chinese New Year, I went to my friend’s house to play some firework. She intended to capture the flares through BULB effect using a DSLR. The result turned out stunning, but I wanted to have more colours and artistic.

Well, at last, I though why don’t I make a digital collage with the pictures. Using piece and parts of some pictures, then merging them into a piece of art.

So, the initial photo that was taken looks like this

Credits to my friend, Kan Ka Yan for the fun and interesting photography.

I actually started off with a simple experiment. Below here, I used the spiral from the photos from above. I transfer all the photos into Photoshop and with tweaks and edits, I ended up with a cartoon expression of a bunny.

As you can see, this is just an experiment. With just simple spiral, I edited the size and color, hue & saturation and even warp and change it perspective in the edit menu in Photoshop. However, that was the beginning, I carried on with my work on another piece of art. My interpretation of the grace of the Almighty Creator of the world.

He will not leave you, nor forsake you.
Digital collage by using a series of firework flares ( light streak technique/BULB effect) captured in a DSLR camera. The art express spiritual and intangible energy by the grace of our creator, who made the heavens and the earth.

Recently, I’ve just submitted my art to a competition. Hope that I could win something with my artwork for the first time. Cheers 🙂
